Our History
Btwin® was founded in France in 1976 with a vision of making cycling accessible and enjoyable for all. Our founders were passionate about bicycles and wanted to share that passion by producing affordable, well-designed bikes for commuting, recreation, fitness, and beyond.
In the early years, we focused on creating reliable city bikes and folding bikes that provided a convenient and fun way for people to get around town. As our reputation grew, we expanded into making high-performance road bikes and durable mountain bikes using the latest technologies and materials.
Over the decades, Btwin® has grown into one of the largest bike brands in Europe. In 2011, we became part of the Decathlon Group – a leading producer of sporting goods. This partnership gave us the resources to truly innovate and take our bikes to the next level.
